Stan McDonald is in his 24th year of private practice as a real estate attorney in Huntsville, Alabama.

In 1995 Stan began his legal career as an associate with the law firm of Wolfe, Jones & Boswell. In the spring of 1997 he formed the law firm of McDonald & Associates. While maintaining his own firm, Stan also became the Huntsville manager for what later became the largest title company in the state of Alabama, Reli, Inc. In 2003 Stan became the President of Reli and helped it grow to over 25 branch offices in Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Mississippi.

Stan McDonald was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama and was graduated in 1983 with a B.S. degree in Agriculture Economics from Auburn University. Stan has served as the Governor of Alabama’s Deputy Chief of Staff from 1989-1991 and as State Revenue Commissioner until 1993.

In 1994 Stan earned a law degree from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. After successful passage of the 1995 Alabama Bar Exam, Stan began his legal career.

In the fall of 2008 Stan resigned his position with Reli and has now merged McDonald & Associates with another firm thus creating McDonald, Long & Johnston Escrow, LLC. In October of 2015, Stan formed Jacob Title, LLC. Stan continues in the area of real estate closings and enjoys a client base of mortgage lenders though out the State of Alabama and Tennessee.

Stan McDonald is involved in numerous professional organizations such as the Alabama Bar Association, The Alabama Association of Realtors and the Alabama Mortgage Brokers Association.

Stan’s civic involvement is lengthy and includes serving on the Foundation Board for Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama. He has also served on the Foundation of the Rocket City Leadership Foundation and Freedom Academy (a Christian Academy for High School boys).

Stan has spoken numerous times to real estate professionals about matters including but not limited to foreclosures, short sales, bankruptcy, estates, lender and licensing laws and a variety of other real estate and business topics.
